Moulded in Zinc Alloy, then coated in antique copper. Finally, a transparent lacquer is added to protect the handle and keep it from oxidating.
Zinc Alloy, also called Zamak, is an alloy of zinc blended with other metals like copper and aluminium. Zamak is perfect for moulding. It is robust and also easy to add various types of coating on the surface. For those reasons, most handles and knobs on the market have zinc-alloy as a base.
